WAUSAU, WI — Elizabeth Channel will take over the role of Interim Assistant Superintendent of Operations after Jon Viegut Resigned. Channel has been with the school district since 2016, and has worked previously as a 5th-grade teacher at Thomas Jefferson, was a principal at Hewitt-Texas Elementary, while also serving as the Head of School for the Wausau Area Montessori Charter School.
The district states that Elizabeth has demonstrated her leadership skills in these roles and is confident that she will lead the district into a better future. She is also responsible for the operational components of the district, including budget, transportation, nutritional services, and other facilities departments.
