KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — A recently appointed Trustee has resigned her seat in Kronenwetter.
Mary Jensen submitted her resignation letter this morning, 73 days after her appointment to the seat.
The Village will fill the open seat through an application and interview process. Four weeks following the announcement, the Village Board will receive all the submitted applications, review them during an open session of a Village Board meeting, and then vote to appoint one of the applicants to complete Jensen’s term. Applicants must be residents of Kronenwetter who are registered to vote and have no prior felony convictions.
The successful applicant will serve a term expiring in April 2027. At that time, they will have the option to run for a full term if they choose.
A copy of the application can be found here. The completed application should be submitted to Village Clerk Jennifer Poyer by email or in person at Village Hall.
Jensen was appointed to the seat in late November, filling a vacancy created when former Trustee Dan Joling was appointed to Village President.
