Michael Alfonso
WASHINGTON (WSAU) Former congressman Sean Duffy’s son-in-law announced that he’s running for congress.
Michael Alfonso, 25, launched his campaign on Wednesday. He is married to Duffy’s daughter Evita.
He describes himself as a “pro-Trump conservative.” He said he will “put our families, communities, and America first.”
Alfonso is the third republican to enter the race. Jesse Ebben announced her candidacy earlier this month. Pass Wassgren launched his campaign on Tuesday. They are seeking the 7th Congressional District seat, currently held by Tom Tiffany, who is running for governor.
Alfonso was born in Vilas County, grew up in the Wausau area, and claims to have worked his way through UW-Madison in the construction industry.
