Brock Birkholz
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A trial has been scheduled for a Hatley man who is charged with killing his 3-month-old son.
The trial for Brock Birkholz, 27. will begin on October 26th in Marathon County court. It’s scheduled to last five days.
Birkholz is charged with 1st degree intentional homicide. An autopsy says the baby suffered from head trauma causing brain bleeding and spinal cord injuries. Charges were upgraded from reckless injury once the autopsy was complete.
The suspect claimed the baby was choking.
Birkholz is in the Marathon County jail, unable to post $300,000 bond.
He faces life in prison if convicted.
