MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WSAU) — The Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers 16-3 in the regular season finale on Sunday at US Bank Stadium.
The Packers had already clinched a playoff spot and could not improve their playoff position. With that in mind, coach Matt LaFluer did not play many of his regulars to avoid injury.
Clayton Tune got the start at quarterback and was just 6-11 for 34 yards. Chris Brooks lead the rushing attack with 61 yards on 13 carries.
The Vikings did not make the playoffs. JJ McCarthy was 14/23 for 182 yards. Jordan Mason had 94 yards on the ground and Justin Jefferson had eight catches for 101 yards.
The Packers will face the Chicago Bears on Saturday night with a 7pm kickoff. Be aware the game will be televised on Amazon Prime. You can hear the game on WSAU.
