WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau Events has announced its 2025 lineup with a caveat.
The schedule may be scaled back due to discussions around the city’s 2025 budget.
“We would like to note that this event schedule is subject to change based on the outcome of the City of Wausau’s 2025 budget,” says Alissandra Aderholdt, Executive Director at Wausau Events. “The proposed $1/person fee for ticketed events and $1,000 per night public safety fee for Concerts on the Square (free events) would impact how we move forward with the 2025 schedule.” The events run by Wausau Events are funded through grants, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts by the Board of Directors and Executive Director. Wausau Events is a stand-alone 501C3 non-profit organization, with an independent Board of Directors and dedicated staff who work to create community through events here in the Greater Wausau area.
Organizers are once again proposing a 12-show lineup for the popular downtown concerts on the stage in Wausau’s 400 Block. Officials have not announced the acts for next year’s lineup, though the shows usually include a mix of local favorites and national artists.
New in 2025 is an Oktoberfest celebration in Weston, scheduled for September 27th. Returning events include the Winter Brew Fest on January 17th, the Wings Over Wausau airshow and Run The Runway 5k on June 27th and 28th, and Big Bull Falls Blues Fest on August 15th and 16th.
The annual Wausau Holiday Parade will close out the 2025 schedule on December 5th.

• Concerts on the Square: Every Wednesday from June 4 – August 13, and August 27

• Run the Runway 5K: June 28, 2025 – Wausau Airport
• Chalkfest: June 28 & 29, 2025 – 400 Block
• 4th of July Fireworks: July 4, 2025 – Wausau Airport
• Big Bull Falls Blues Fest: August 15 & 16, 2025 – Fern Island
• Oktoberfest: September 27, 2025 – Weston, WI
• Harvest Fest: October 4, 2025 – 400 Block
• Holiday Parade: December 5, 2025 – Marathon Park to the 400 Block
