Sean Dumais
SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU) — The owner of Central Wisconsin K-9, Sean Dumais, and his employee, Kalib Suchomski, were arrested and face charges of animal abuse.
Police were notified of the poor and unsanitary conditions of Central Wisconsin K-9 after one of the owners came to pick up one of the nine dogs.
The police department and the staff of the Humane Society of Marathon County searched Central Wisconsin K-9. This resulted in the eight remaining dogs being removed from the facility, and they are now in the care of the Humane Society.
During a court appearance this week, prosecutors noted that “Of the dogs recovered, three had a body condition score of a level one, two had a score of level two, and one had a score of level three. It is a nine point scale, the only thing lower than level one is death,” according to WAOW TV.
The case is still under investigation, with no further information available at this time.
Both men appeared in court this week and are being held on a $10,000 cash bond. Their next court appearance is scheduled for November 13th.
