TOWN OF MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed one fatality from a weekend structure fire in the Town of Mosinee.
The fire was reported at about 12:15 AM Saturday, destroying the garage and the rear portion of a home on Dalton Drive. Fire crews from multiple departments responded to the scene and worked well into Saturday morning putting out hot spots and investigating.
At the time, officials said they were working to account for one person who may have been inside. On Monday, they confirmed that they had located one body in the home.
No further information, including the name of the deceased person, will be released at this time.
