Milwaukee Bucks
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks sit alone atop Group C in the Emeriates NBA Cup Eastern Conference standings after a 147-134 overtime win over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
Every starter scored at least 13 points for the Bucks, led by 29 from Kyle Kuzma and 25 from Giannis Antetokounmpo. Ryan Rollins added 20.
Kuzma grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out five assists. Giannis also hit double-double numbers, dishing 18 helpers.
Cole Anthony and Gary Harris each scored ten points off the bench. Bobby Portis had a 12-point, four-rebound night.
Kon Knueppel and Miles Bridges each scored 32 points for the Hornets. Former Buck Pat Connaughton played 10 minutes and didn’t record a point.
The Bucks are now 2-0 in group play and 8-5 in the regular season. Charlotte drops to 0-2 (4-8 overall) but remains alive for the Eastern Conference wild card spot. The Bucks will host the LA Lakers tonight in the second game of a back-to-back. Pregame coverage on WSAU will begin at 6:30 PM. Their next NBA Cup fixture is on November 26th in Miami.
