Wisconsin Badgers
SALT LAKE CITY, UT (WSAU) — The Badger men’s basketball team fell in a neutral-site contest against unranked BYU 98-70 on Friday.
Four players scored in double figures, led by Nick Boyd with 16. Nolan Winter, John Blackwell, and Braeden Carrington each added 14.
Winter grabbed 14 rebounds to finish with a double-double in the loss.
Free throw and three-point shooting didn’t help the Badgers. Wisconsin went 7/29 from long range and 17/26 from the charity stripe. The Cougars went 14/22 and 22/29 in the same categories, respectively.
The Badgers are now 4-1 on the season and will stay on the road for the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego. The four-team event has Wisconsin facing Providence on Thanksgiving Day at 4:30 PM CT. Pregame coverage on WSAU will begin at 4. Wisconsin will then play either Florida or TCU the next day.
