Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badgers fall to the Minnesota Golden Gophers by 17-7, wrapping up the 2025 season.
UW’s Ben Barton came up with a block on the 38-yard field goal attempt from Minnesota to try to keep the game scoreless for the whole quarter.
Minnesota opened the scoring with a 33-yard field goal, giving the Gopher’s a 3-point lead late in the second quarter.
Wisconsin Quarterback Hunter Simmons connected with Vinny Anthony II on a 67-yard pass. The Badgers then capitalized on the opportunity, scoring a touchdown on a 1-yard pass to Jackson Acker from Carter Smith on fourth down. The score was 10-7 at halftime.
Minnesota scored a short-pass touchdown to extend its lead to 17-7.
The score held the rest of the way and finished 17-7.
