TOWN OF AUBURNDALE, WI (WSAU) — A 30-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Wood County on New Year’s Eve.
First responders were called to the intersection of County Roads H and M at about 12:20 PM, where a plow truck collided with a passenger vehicle. Investigators determined that the truck was northbound on M when it failed to stop at a stop sign, crashing into the eastbound vehicle.
One of the two occupants of the passenger vehicle, Heather Nigh, died at the scene. The other person was taken to Marshfield Medical Center via ambulance; they have not been identified, and an update on their condition was not provided.
No further information has been provided. Responding agencies included the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Wood County Coroner, and Auburndale First Responders.
