WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Fire Department responded to a blaze at Junion Photography on N 3rd Street Sunday.
The fire was reported at about 4:00 PM. Heavy damage was reported to the structure.
In a public Facebook post, owner Dave Junion said he was able to save his cameras and other personal belongings, but the remainder of the building was destroyed.
“Many other[s] have suffered so much more devastation than what I am going thru, I will be fine…..do me a favor….in the next week or so… find someone struggling….give them a hand,” said Junion.
He also thanked the Wausau Police and Fire Departments for their professionalism and service during the incident.
Fire officials believe the blaze was accidental. No firefighters or civilians were injured in the incident.
Mutual aid was brought in from the SAFER and Riverside Fire Districts. Portions of North 3rd Street and DeKalb Street will be closed while the building is demolished
