WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The City of Wausau will be looking for a new HR Director.
After a little more than a year on the job, Lisa Nowak has announced she will leave the position for a “new chapter in her career,” according to HR Committee Chair Vicki Tierney.
Tierney made the announcement at the end of Monday’s HR Committee meeting, saying Nowak’s “compassion and expertise” would be missed. Her last day will be July 31st.
Lisa has brought professionalism and dedication to the role of Human Resources Director,” said Mayor Doug Diny. “I am grateful for her service and for the foundation she has helped strengthen within our organization. She has committed to working closely with [myself] and her team in the coming weeks to document open initiatives, organize files and pending matters, and support a smooth transfer of responsibilities. That commitment will help ensure continuity of City operations with minimal disruption.”
A search for her replacement will begin immediately, with an emphasis on an “orderly transition.”
