Oct 25 (Field Level Media) – Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren will be sidelined at least two weeks with a right hamstring strain, the team announced Sunday.
Duren exited in the second quarter of Detroit’s 128-111 win over the Miami Heat on Friday.
Signed to a five-year, $200 million extension in the offseason, Duren is averaging 13.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games (both starts) this season.
Duren, 22, averaged a career-best 19.5 points to go along with 10.5 rebounds per game in 2025-26. The first-time All-Star and third-team All-NBA player saw his numbers sag to 10.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in 14 games of last season’s playoffs.
Duren has averaged 13.5 points and 10.3 rebounds in 278 career games (241 starts) since being selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft. He was promptly traded to the New York Knicks on draft night before being dealt to the Pistons two weeks later.
