MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The first day of the WIAA State Football finals saw four champions crowned at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
Edgar came up short in their quest for a three-peat. After winning back-to-back Division 7 titles, the Wildcats were playing up in D-6 and fell to Darlington 42-18. Itwas Darlington’s first title since 1995.
In D-7 Kenosha St. Joseph topped Cochrane-Fountain City 35-19. Mayville topped Northwestern in D-5 42-32 and Winneconne finsihed unbeaten with a 28-22 win over Little Chute in D-3
