MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — One of the women convicted in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing in Waukesha, Morgan Geyser, has been found in Illinois after absconding from a Madison area group home.
Madison police say Geyser cut off her GPS monitoring bracelet on Saturday night. Posen, Illinois Police confirmed to Madison’s 12 News that she was found at a Thornton’s truck stop with another person. Posen Police say the pair took a bus to Posen, and were both taken into custody. Posen is located in southern Cook County, about 25 miles south of Chicago.
The Madison Police Department was notified of her disappearance Sunday morning.
In 2014, Geyser and Anissa Weier stabbed their classmate, Payton Leutner, 19 times as part of a plot involving the fictional character Slender Man. Leutner survived the attack.
